A truly beautiful design with this tattoo! This half sleeve black-work image is very involved and intricate. There are many patterns throughout, covering the arm and shoulder. Some of it appears to be Celtic in nature, with a larger chain pattern hooking into the larger design on the chest. It almost looks like a design that might have been seen on a piece of armor. The use of white to showcase the different textures is awesome. Love the way it looks like the bird head is holding the other pieces together on the chest.
